VENUE: Colyer-Fergusson Hall
Following their great sell-out success last January in Colyer-Fergusson Hall, CCS is glad to be returning with a varied programme of works for choir, soloists and two pianos in Love, Fate and Legend. The main feature will be the Liebeslieder (Love Song) Waltzes by Brahms. Equally engaging will be the Swedish composer Stenhammar’s Spring Night, songs from the Rig Veda (Hindu texts) for women’s voices by Gustav Holst, and Schubert’s enchanting Gebet (Prayer). An opportunity to hear Canterbury Choral Society in a more intimate setting and bringing new repertoire to our members and audience.
