Sir Willard White will provide an imposing and impressive dimension in the title role of Elijah in Canterbury Cathedral on 1 November 2014. Elijah endures as one of the favourite large-scale works for choir and orchestra, among choirs and audiences alike. A dramatic biblical saga full of power and intensity, immersed in one of Mendelssohn’s most colourful scores.
Sir Willard will be joined by an outstanding team of soloists and with Canterbury Choral Society’s reputation for excellence, this performance of Mendelssohn Elijah in breathtaking Canterbury Cathedral is not-to-be-missed. Canterbury Choral Society Youth Choir will also be singing in this concert.
Concert will end at approximately 10pm
